About Dr Bo
Dr. Bo is the founding physician of the program and the architect of its structure and protocols. Together with his team of Nutritionists and Dietitians, Dr. Bo is constantly researching the latest scientific advancements for obesity-related disease and weight management.
Dr. Bo is continuously developing the program to ensure that the latest medical findings are included in its comprehensive protocols and weight-management philosophies. Dr. Bo has written articles on numerous medical topics for scientific journals, newspapers, magazines as well as internet blogs and websites.
Dr. Bo has served in many leadership positions in hospitals and clinics, and has lectured for physician organizations all across the United States.
After many years of practice in Emergency Medicine it became evident to Dr. Bo Rosenblat that obesity is a major contributor to many disease processes such as diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, heart disease and back pain. He recognized that many healthcare professionals were unable to give their patients adequate help in achieving their health goals through proper diet and exercise.
Most doctors would simply tell their patients that they had to lose weight without giving them the proper tools to do so. The knowledge deficit relating to proper nutrition is largely due to the fact that traditional medical school training does not emphasize the importance of a good diet in achieving health. While Eastern medicine emphasizes keeping the body healthy, Western medicine focuses on treating pathologic conditions.
“We have become so focused on putting out the fires of disease, we often forget to treat the root of the problem and prevent these diseases from ever emerging. In fact, research has found that a properly designed diet program leads to longevity over and above the benefit that would be expected from simply reducing disease states such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.”
Dr. Bo Rosenblat
With this information Dr. Bo created a program with the premier goal of maintaining weight loss long-term, while still catering to the human desire for instant gratification, through rapid and safe weight loss in the short-term.
